The Wickham 2 Drawer Bedside Table in Walnut. Two soft close drawers tuck away the stuff that clutters a nightstand, and the open shelf above keeps your current read and late night water glass within arm's reach.
The timber's dressed in rich walnut stain over ash veneer, with gently softened corners and a subtle top recess that keeps your lamp base and keys from sliding around. A brushed gold steel pull stretches across both drawers, just enough warmth against the darker wood to feel intentional without trying too hard.

Materials and finishes
Ash veneer over manufactured wood, finished in a walnut stain, with chamfered corners on all four vertical edges and a shallow recess set into the top. Both drawers run on standard soft-close metal runners, with a single inverted metal pull in a brushed gold steel finish spanning the two drawer fronts.
Care and warranty
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth and wipe up spills immediately to prevent water marks forming on the stained timber surface. For general cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth then dry thoroughly; never leave moisture sitting on the timber.
Avoid placing in direct sunlight for prolonged periods, as UV exposure can gradually lighten and dry a stained finish. Use coasters and felt pads beneath objects to protect the surface from scratches and heat marks.

Q1: What materials and finish are used?
A1: The Wickham in Walnut is ash veneer over manufactured wood, finished in a walnut stain, so you get real timber grain in a deeper, warmer tone. Both drawers run on standard soft-close metal runners.
Q2: What are the exact dimensions and will it fit my space?
A2: The piece measures 50 cm wide × 45 cm deep × 50 cm high. Before ordering, check your clearance beside the bed and allow room in front for the drawers to open fully.
Q3: How much storage will I get?
A3: Two drawers, each around 38.5 × 38 × 11.5 cm internally, plus an open shelf above measuring roughly 45 cm wide and 11.1 cm high. The drawers take books, chargers, sleepwear and glasses; the shelf holds what you want within reach.
Q4: Is assembly required?
A4: No. The Wickham arrives fully assembled — there are no legs to attach.
Q5: What is the handle like?
A5: A single inverted metal pull in a brushed gold steel finish runs across both drawer fronts, recessed into the timber rather than sitting proud of it. It reads as one clean vertical line against the walnut.
Q6: Will it match my other furniture?
A6: Walnut is a deep, warm timber tone. It sits well with cream and camel upholstery, olive and rust accents, and brass or gold hardware. The brushed gold pull ties it to gold lighting, mirrors and bed frames.
Q7: Delivery and returns — what should I know?
A7: There is a 30-day change of mind return policy. Please check doorway and hallway access before delivery, and inspect the piece carefully on arrival, photographing any damage as per our shipping and returns instructions.
Q8: Is the item heavy to move?
A8: The unit weighs approximately 26 kg. That's manageable, but because it arrives assembled we'd suggest two people to carry it into position.
Q9: Can it be used somewhere other than the bedroom?
A9: Yes. The proportions and the open shelf make it a good side table beside a sofa, a small console in an entry, or a compact storage piece in a study.
Q10: Will the timber vary from piece to piece?
A10: Yes. Because this is a real timber veneer, slight variations in grain and in how the stain takes are expected and are part of the character of the finish.

A beautiful piece of furniture. Loved it from the minute it was placed in the room. Colours in the timber work perfectly with my timber floors. Love the rounded edges and the unique legs. A good quality unit. Also, the best personalised customer service I’ve ever experienced. James responded to my questions immediately and organised for us to meet at their storage unit so I could get a better idea of the colour of the timber. Stunning black leather minimalist armchair
Stunning black leather armchair. It’s minimal lines, perfect quality leather and quite easy to move around. Excellent for a small space although it’s quite wide. Loved it so much I bought a second one and they look good together. Amazing value for such a high quality chair. I bought the second one (sale price) because I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Couldn’t be happier with the buying experience!
I bought the Kiama entertainment unit and coffee table in December. Seek & Ramble were more than happy to hold the delivery over Christmas until I could take it. Although despatched together, the entertainment unit was delivered first and the coffee table a few days later. On flagging this to Seek & Ramble, Adam promptly called to reassure me he would monitor it but all should be ok. And it was.
The pieces are gorgeous and of superb quality. There is very little assembly (just the legs which is easy) and they look fabulous in the space.
