Benches, two-seat lounges, lounge armchairs, stackable dining chairs and stools, all in the Parco range. Benches and stools suit casual and overflow seating, dining chairs pair with the 180cm tables, and the lounges and armchairs are built for a seated outdoor living area rather than dining.
Is powder-coated steel good for outdoor furniture in Australia? +
It holds up well to strong sun — the triple powder-coat finish is designed to keep its colour under UV where plastics tend to fade and chalk. It also asks none of the annual oiling that timber does. As with any outdoor furniture, a rinse now and then and a cover through the harshest weather will extend its life, particularly close to the coast.
Do the cushions come with the seating? +
Cushions are optional on most Parco seating, so you'll see with-cushion and without-cushion choices at checkout. Buying frames bare and adding cushions later is a sensible way to spread the cost, and it means you can bring cushions inside over winter.
How much outdoor seating do I need? +
For dining, allow about 60cm of table edge per person — a 180cm table seats six comfortably, or eight at a squeeze with bench seating. For a lounge setting, a two-seat lounge plus two armchairs suits most courtyards and decks; add stools if you entertain in larger numbers, since they store away more easily than extra chairs.

Our outdoor seating range is built to do both — clean-lined pieces in triple powder-coated steel, designed to be left outside and lived with rather than dragged undercover every time the weather turns.
The range covers benches, two-seat lounges, lounge armchairs, stackable dining chairs and stools, all in Olive or Sand so tables, chairs and lounges read as one coordinated setting. Benches suit casual and overflow seating and slide neatly under a table when they're not in use; the stackable dining chairs pair with the 180cm outdoor dining tables; and the lounges and armchairs are built for a seated outdoor living area rather than dining. Cushions are removable, so you can soften the look or strip it back to a sharper architectural line.
Choosing between benches and chairs comes down to how you host. Allow about 60cm of seating space per person — a bench maximises seats per metre and tucks away against a wall or under a table, which makes it the better call on compact balconies and narrow decks, while individual chairs give more comfort and shoulder room for longer sittings. Leave roughly 90cm behind a dining chair so people can push back and stand without hitting a railing.
The steel frames are weather and rust resistant and made for Australian conditions, so they handle sun, heat and the odd downpour.
