Allow about 60cm of table edge per person. Our 180cm table seats six comfortably in chairs, or up to eight with benches down each side. Also allow roughly 90cm behind the chairs so people can stand up without hitting a wall or railing — for a 180cm table that means a clear area of about 3.6m by 2.7m.

Around the same height as the seat of the lounge beside it, or slightly lower — that's what makes it comfortable to reach without leaning down. Our outdoor coffee tables are sized to the Parco lounge seating, so the pairing works without measuring.

The C-shaped frame slides underneath a lounge, sofa or sun lounger so the top sits over your lap or beside your arm rather than out of reach. It's the most useful table in a tight outdoor space, because it takes up almost no floor area of its own.

Not strictly — the triple powder-coated steel frames are made to be left out. A cover, or simply storing tables undercover through the worst of the weather, will keep the finish looking newer for longer, particularly near the coast. Cushions are the part genuinely worth bringing inside.
