How to care for your new Cleo Bookshelf
For Timber & Veneer Surfaces:
Always clean with a soft, damp cloth — never use harsh or abrasive cleaners.
Wipe up spills immediately using a clean, absorbent cloth or paper towel.
Avoid direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure may fade the finish or cause discolouration over time.
Use coasters, placemats, and protective pads to prevent marks, scratches, or moisture damage from hot or acidic items (like citrus).
For Metal Components:
Mild, non-abrasive cleaners can be used safely on metal parts. Be sure to wipe off any residue with a clean, soft cloth.
Avoid applying acidic substances, such as lemon juice or vinegar, directly onto metal or timber surfaces.
General Tips
Always test cleaning products on an inconspicuous area first.
Keep out of direct harsh sunlight as this may cause fading.
Safety & Care Guidelines
At Seek & Ramble, we carefully design and build our furniture with stability and style in mind. However, for added safety, and as per ACCC guidelines, we strongly recommend securing storage furniture using the included wall anchor straps.
Installation Tips
For the most secure attachment, we suggest consulting a professional tradesperson or your local hardware store to ensure the correct hardware is used for your specific wall type.
If you’re living in a rental property, chat with your landlord or property manager before installing wall anchors.
Important Safety Considerations
Furniture stability can be affected by uneven or soft flooring — make sure surfaces are level before placing your piece.
Avoid placing heavy or objects that may be tempting to children on high shelves, which could encourage climbing.
Please prevent children from climbing or pulling on furniture to prevent tipping.
WARNING: Tip-over incidents involving children have resulted in serious injuries and fatalities.
To reduce the risk, this furniture should be anchored to a wall using the included safety hardware.
